Interview with Middle Grade Fantasy Author S. O. Thomas

I had the pleasure of interviewing Sasha (S.O.) Thomas on April 11, 2020.

This woman has such a unique voice! I’m so excited to introduce you to Sasha Thomas, author of The Slug Queen Chronicles. I’m in the middle of reading this book and y’all, I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t crying in the first chapter!

Sasha has two writing buddies, a pekinese that reminds her of a gremlin and a full grown cat the size of a kitten named Bo. She writes for readers who understand that books can be friends and to create a place readers can go to be known, a place that is familiar.

I enjoyed my conversation with Sasha. If you listen to the interview on Storyteller Station podcast you may realize, I was a bit nervous. I kept saying, “that’s awesome!” About everything that Sasha said. And she was awesome! However, I had wished I was sitting face to face with this woman, to ask deeper questions and to learn more.

Sasha is a multi-talented woman. She is an inspired and trained fashion designer and a deep and creative writer. If you read the sample of her book on Amazon and AREN’T hooked, I’d be surprised. The beauty of her words and the artistry of how she uses them is undeniable.

This isn’t a book review, but an introduction to a person you should get to know. This person wants to help you recognize your value. She wants you to know you aren’t alone. I’m reading The Slug Queen Chronicles and discovering more about the author and more about myself in the process. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.
